Undergraduate students are required to live on campus all four years. The variety of housing available to students allows them the opportunity to choose increasingly more independent living options as they progress through their time at Wesleyan.

sophomore
In addition to dorms and CBLVs, sophomores can choose to live in Program Housing or in Hewitt.
Program Housing gives students the opportunity to live collectively in a house or hall, fraternity or society. Many program houses are not only tied to an academic department or student organization, but also very often provide outreach to the greater Middletown community. Each Program House maintains a direct connection to a Faculty or Staff Advisor who assists with student and house/campus program development. Living in a program house is also a great way to get to know new people based on shared hobbies, experiences, cultural interests and identities.
The list of all Program Housing can be found here.
Hewitt is home to upper-class students living together in the hall communities. The buildings contain a community kitchen, study lounges, social lounges and performance space.
