wesleyan night life
Unlike larger-sized schools, the Wesleyan nightlife is all on-campus! "Weekend" begins from Thursday night to Saturday night, and there is always something happening on all these nights. Parties are usually held in frat houses, WestCo Café, and senior houses. We usually have night concerts where we bring in outside artists to perform on campus as well. The obligatory post-party foods are falafel from the Mamoun's Falafel Cart right on Pine St, and Grilled Cheese from The Whey Station.
'92 theater show
The 92’ Theatre generally has shows every week on Thursday, Friday and Saturday 8pm. The tickets are free and are bought at the box office the day of, and seating is first-come, first-serve. Second Stage is the student-run, volunteer organization that helps produce the dance and theater shows, which are entirely designed, directed, tech-ed and performed by Wes students. Film Series are organized provide students to enjoy films for free or in $5. It usually happens on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights and charges may vary from films from films. The schedule of the film series will be placed in your mailbox every month.
ucab series
UCAB series are events organized by Usdan center activities board. They have organized many activities in the past: fun photo booth, trivia nights, mechanical bull, making your own street sign, and many more. The events are free and held in Usdan University Center. feas outreach
The Freeman East Asian Studies Outreach Program is a student-run program that introduces East Asian culture to K-12 school students in the nearby communities through various hands-on cultural activities. Not only would you have fun teaching kids, you also get to earn $10 per hour!

van vleck observatory
The University owns three telescopes. A 16-inch (410 mm) and a 20-inch (510 mm) are both used for weekly public observing nights, open to the Wesleyan community and the general public.
Weather-permitting, weekly public observing at Van Vleck Observatory is held on Wednesday evenings during the normal academic semester. VVO also holds monthly saturday night observing. This is a great opportunity to view the sky through the 20" refractor. Check here for the schedule.

foss hill
Foss Hill is one of Wesleyan’s famous features. This is the place where students take a break from class or sit on the hill to do their reading.
During winter, Foss Hill is the perfect place to go sledding. And in spring, there’s an annual HOLI festival which is the Hindu festival of color. This is a day filled with festivity, music and colors where participants get to throw colorful powder at each other.
There are also cherry blossoms on Foss Hill and it is where Ohanami celebration take places, usually in late April. On this day, there will be cherry blossom viewing as students and faculty members who are from Japan or are interested in Japanese culture gather under the cherry trees to enjoy Japanese food and music.
